Happy Friday ! I don't know about you guys but I am happy that its the weekend. It has been a long week. I just wanted to share with you guys what I will be doing this weekend and feel free to share what you are doing, I love to hear I am going to my grandma's tonight to visit her and have dinner with her and my family She's the one in the left corner in the blue shirt I love going to her house because she always has good food to eat( Grandma's are the best cookers) and of course I love visiting with her because I know that she always helps me see things in a different point of view and I need that. I was little discouraged and didnt feel like blogging but then on Saturday I went over to my Grandmas house and my uncle told me that he liked reading my blog so I decided to get back into it. So yesterday I heard 2 great sermons yesterday. But today I am going to talk about the first one. So my youth pastor and his family are in Florida right now vacationing so we had a special guest speaker and his name was Dan. He talked about prayer. The big thing that was convicting to me was that when we ask, we may not get it what we ask for but no matter what God will always answer us. So a couple of weeks ago, i went up to Trout Lake camp with my youth group for a retreat and Saturday morning something happened. I was sleeping on the top bunk and right below was a bench. Well my mattress was higher than most and so the railing beside didn't do much, so i rolled over and fell off the bed. I cut the top of my left eye on the edge of the bench. Well it hurt and i cried a little bit but then i went back to bed thinking i just had a headache. When i put my head on my pillow and my hand touched my forehead, i felt something coming out of it. So i woke up our leader in our room Ria thurston and she helped me to bathroom. That's when i looked in the mirror and saw my eye was cut open. Ria went to find my youth pastor and his wife and all of three of them got in thier van and drove to the ER in Brainierd which was 45 min away. So I'm applying for a scholarship at Crown, and its called Christian Leader Scholarship. Its all about how you are a leader in your church and at school and and how you can grow as a leader at Crown. So you fill out an application and have someone like a youth pastor or Christan worker at your church write a recommendation for you. Then they decide and if they think you can make a great leader at crown they invite to a special day where you automatically receive 1000 dollars and then you show up that day to try to increase your scholarship. The maximum award is full tuition paid. So i went on thursday and i had to write an essay and be interviewed. Man, it was intense and exhausting. I was so nervous becasue i communicate better than i can write but when time was up i had my essay finished and it was amazing how God spoke through me. Every Monday and Wednesday I have a step aerobics class at North Hennepin. Its actually a lot of fun. But yesterday as i was doing the steps, I felt like in a way I can compare step to my walk with God. When I was doing step I felt like I was just going through the motions. Step up with right foot, step down with left.. and so on. Sometime my walk with God can feel like that. get up , go to school, come home, go to work, do homework, then quiet time with God, then get up the next day and do the same thing all over again. I felt like i was just going through the motions. So this is post is going to be short but I just thought I would share that I am hosting a girl from Colombia this week through my school. She got here yesterday and then today attended my classes. She is here until Sunday but so far its been fun. We went bowling yesterday and she won. I have been speaking in Spanish at home but then at school or sometimes in the car I will speak English because she is fluent in English also. Her name is Alejandra. The funny thing is that she loves the snow but hates the cold. Usually in Colombia its 70 degrees F. She also told me that McDonald delivers there. Just thought that was interesting but i have been learning some similarities and differences between Colombia and United States. But we want to go see a movie tomorrow but we don't know which one.
