Long time no talk readers but I am back :) So I don't know about you but do you ever feel like in your relationship with God, you are walking in the desert? Because the last couple of months , that has been me !!! During the school year I was used to having my quiet time with God in the afternoon after my classes got done and then every M,W, and Friday I would go to chapel and be around other Christians just worshiping God. But now its the summer and I have two jobs and I basically put God on the back burner. He was an after thought. And like Francis Chan says in Crazy Love, I was giving him my leftovers. But anyways after reading many blog posts and encouraging facebook status updates, God showed me that He was there the whole time with open arms just waiting for me to come back to him. And I just learned that I really want to spend time with God I need to be intentional about it and I may need to get up a little bit early every day to spend time with the One who made me . My weekend consisted of .... notice the girl in the back kinda creeping on us :) Friday night : My friend Kassie and I went to a grad party and then we caved in and watched this movie. It was good to see his beliefs shown through out the movie but its definitely not on my top ten list probably not even on top 50. Then Saturday I went to my brother's basketball game and something you may not know about me is that I LOVE taking sport shots especially of my siblings so it was fun to watch my brother play but also take pictures Then Sunday my family and I did see this movie! It was super good and very inspirational. Its about pro surfer Bethany Hamilton and how she lost her arm to a shark attack. She had to trust God that he had plans to use her with one arm. sorry I haven't written lately, I never know what to write but what I am about to talk about has been a common theme that has been popping up in my life. MERCY : Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm God shows us mercy by not punishing us when we deserve to be punished because everyone sins everyday. He forgives us everyday, every time we sin. Something you need to know about me is that I think A lot, especially at night when I am trying to fall asleep but for some reason that's usually when I realize something. Its like when I am trying to fall asleep, the lightbulb in my head turns on :) What I have been thinking about lately is that I mess up A LOT, yet every time I run to God he is going to forgive me and by doing that he shows mercy to me. So.... the past month or so I have been hurt by people in my life and I will admit it, I do not want to forgive them, because they have said some hurtful things to me but that...

I was just thinking the other day as I was driving about how our relationship with God is like driving on a road. Think about it...... When we drive, we have to keep our focus on whats ahead of us. You don't look to the left or right because if you take your eyes off the road for one second this happens, Well its the same with our relationship with God, we need to focus on whats ahead which is God because if we take our eyes off of God, we fall into sin and eventually we are numb to the sin because our eyes were taken off the road Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

This weekend was really busy so I am not surprised that its already Sunday night. Friday night I had coffee with Kassie Then me and her went over to Cora's house to surprise her, but see she was home alone so she thought we were breaking in which explains the picture the gun is NOT loaded don't worry Then after she realized it was just us, we sat and talked in her kitchen and brought out her brother's guinea pig named Keith. I don't know why the gun is pointed at him. Then Saturday and Sunday I went to my sister Abbey's basketball games because my parents were gone. My dad was reffing and my mom was at my other sister's game. Yea we are pretty busy family... you can say that again She is # 12, GO ABBEY :) unfortunately they lost all three games.
