Where are you Christmas?

Have you heard that song from Grinch, Where are you Christmas? Cindy Lou Who sings it after seeing the Grinch at the post office. I don't know why but  I love the melody. I think my favorite Christmas song is a tie between  Do you hear what I hear by Anthem Lights and Mary Did you know by Go Fish or Pentatonix

This season is all about waiting and anticipation of Jesus coming to Earth and being born. I think this season is so good about focusing on Jesus. But sometimes I get caught up on making it about me and things I am waiting for. Its good to self reflect and notice how God is working in your life. I can name two things that I am waiting for and I can't wait to see how and when God will bring them into my life or change these desires. I have just realized that this time last year I was so focused on blessings God is going to give me and not Jesus and his birth.

I don't know where I am really going with this but God has just changed my perspective on this season. I want to be celebrating the fact that Love came down so I could know God. This season should be about less than what God is going to provide for me and more about the anticipation that Jesus was born as a human so he could later die for us humans.


Hope this post wasn't a down but just thankful that this season is about my Savior and not me.

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. Planet Wisdom

So this past weekend I went to Planet Wisdom with my youth group. Its a conference led by Mark Matlock and Dawson Mcallister. The topic was the last 14 hours of Jesus's life.It was a really good topic to talk about. The big thing that stuck out to me was Jesus was human just like us and he didn't want to die, yet he loved us so much that he did. Mark 14: 36 -36"Abba,Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." This passage shows that he didn't want to but he knew we wouldn't be forgiven by God if he didn't so he died on the cross for us. Another important point was that Jesus dies of suffocation. Fluid filled up in his lungs and no air could get out and thats how he suffocated. Something I think we all have to ask ourselves is Jesus made his choice by dying for us and now we have to make ours.. Is Jesus worth living for? I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board. So in the beginning of the year there were all these job openings, and i applied to many of them such as working in the student billing office, finacial aid office,newspaper etc But I didn't get any interviews and they became filled.
