I know I haven't blogged much but really feel like I need to share this song. This is my prayer, dealing with some stuff and this song is so true

Long time no talk readers but I am back :) So I don't know about you but do you ever feel like in your relationship with God, you are walking in the desert? Because the last couple of months , that has been me !!! During the school year I was used to having my quiet time with God in the afternoon after my classes got done and then every M,W, and Friday I would go to chapel and be around other Christians just worshiping God. But now its the summer and I have two jobs and I basically put God on the back burner. He was an after thought. And like Francis Chan says in Crazy Love, I was giving him my leftovers. But anyways after reading many blog posts and encouraging facebook status updates, God showed me that He was there the whole time with open arms just waiting for me to come back to him. And I just learned that I really want to spend time with God I need to be intentional about it and I may need to get up a little bit early every day to spend time with the One who made me . Below

My weekend consisted of .... notice the girl in the back kinda creeping on us :) Friday night : My friend Kassie and I went to a grad party and then we caved in and watched this movie. It was good to see his beliefs shown through out the movie but its definitely not on my top ten list probably not even on top 50. Then Saturday I went to my brother's basketball game and something you may not know about me is that I LOVE taking sport shots especially of my siblings so it was fun to watch my brother play but also take pictures Then Sunday my family and I did see this movie! It was super good and very inspirational. Its about pro surfer Bethany Hamilton and how she lost her arm to a shark attack. She had to trust God that he had plans to use her with one arm. sorry I haven't written lately, I never know what to write but what I am about to talk about has been a common theme that has been popping up in my life. MERCY : Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm God shows us mercy by not punishing us when we deserve to be punished because everyone sins everyday. He forgives us everyday, every time we sin. Something you need to know about me is that I think A lot, especially at night when I am trying to fall asleep but for some reason that's usually when I realize something. Its like when I am trying to fall asleep, the lightbulb in my head turns on :) What I have been thinking about lately is that I mess up A LOT, yet every time I run to God he is going to forgive me and by doing that he shows mercy to me. I was just thinking the other day as I was driving about how our relationship with God is like driving on a road. Think about it...... When we drive, we have to keep our focus on whats ahead of us. You don't look to the left or right because if you take your eyes off the road for one second this happens, Well its the same with our relationship with God, we need to focus on whats ahead which is God because if we take our eyes off of God, we fall into sin and eventually we are numb to the sin because our eyes were taken off the road Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

This weekend was really busy so I am not surprised that its already Sunday night. Friday night I had coffee with Kassie Then me and her went over to Cora's house to surprise her, but see she was home alone so she thought we were breaking in which explains the picture the gun is NOT loaded don't worry Then after she realized it was just us, we sat and talked in her kitchen and brought out her brother's guinea pig named Keith. I don't know why the gun is pointed at him. Then Saturday and Sunday I went to my sister Abbey's basketball games because my parents were gone. My dad was reffing and my mom was at my other sister's game. Yea we are pretty busy family... you can say that again She is # 12, GO ABBEY :) unfortunately they lost all three games. I will be gone for a week from blog world, I have SOOOOOOOOO much homework to get done, especially papers. If you could just pray for time managment and to keep giving my stress to God that would be great. This is how I feel :( But over the weekend I celebrated my birthday with Kassie. We went to a hotel in St. Cloud and it was soo much fun. Below are some pictures from our time there. So, A quick short post today about a verse I read in Revelation. 11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you made all things. Everything existed and was made, because you wanted it." Revelation 4:11 The last part just made me feel so good inside, and granted I am a girl so we are more emotional but its awesome think about. God made everything, because he wanted it, including us. See the thing about Revelation is , I have never taken the time to read it because i always thought it was such a confusing book. But Kassie and I are going through it together as a mini Bible Study and I am starting to learn a lot. The weekend is over but I am not too sad about it because this is my last week before spring break. Over the weekend, I did some fun things. Friday: i hung out with my best friend Kassie because she left for Europe on Saturday. She is going with her band and will be gone for a week Saturday: I had lunch with my friend Becka and then I bought 2 new pairs of shoes at Payless because they were having their BOGO, Buy one get one half off, something you might not know about me is that I LOVE shoes!! This is me happy with my Bible. Even though my college hasn't had internet for a month, and I still have 2 weeks till Spring Break and its been a tough first year of college but I have decided to be happy despite all those things. Why? Because I have got Jesus and He gives me the strength to get back up again. So I met with my R.A. today to talk and she really encouraged me because I did for a while question why I had such a tough year and you know what she said??? She said because God knew you could handle it. And he is going to use this stuff make me stronger and that just really encouraged me . So when life throws you trials, He uses those things to make you stronger and to rely on Him. It made feel really good that God thought I could handle all this and that I am going make it through it. Today is bittersweet because tomorrow is my last day of Christmas break and classes resume on Wednesday which is when i am going back bc I don't have a class til 11 but tomorrow is the last day of break so thats why it is bitter but sweet because I hate to admit this but I am ready for some work ... woah I can't believe I just admitted that :) But next Monday will be nice because I don't have class bc its Martin Luther King Jr. Day . So today I went and did something spontaneous with my friend Kassie... want to know what I did Sorry, bad pic off my computer . Yep I went and got my nose pierced. I got it done for my 18th birthday last year but it fell out a month later so i wanted to get it again. Happy New Year. I hope you guys are enjoying your holiday. I sure am enjoying my break. The only bad thing is I got hit with a bad cold today.
