As everyone knows Christmas is coming up and i am one of the people who the day after thanksgiving pulled out the Christmas music because I love Christmas. And at times during the Christmas season I would become greedy and think about what presents and wonder what other people got me but those were the times when I had to step back and remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Without him we wouldn't be able to live because like Romans 6:23 says " For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And so today I just want to share one of my new favorite christmas songs. Its called Sweet Little Jesus boy by Rebecca St. James. This song helped me see that I need to be thankful that I know Jesus as my Lord .

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. I am still trying to figure out if I am going to continue going to crown next year. I won't bore you with the details but I am possibly considering other schools so we will see. I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board. So in the beginning of the year there were all these job openings, and i applied to many of them such as working in the student billing office, finacial aid office,newspaper etc But I didn't get any interviews and they became filled. So I am back to share a little about the college life. Welcome weekend was 3 weeks ago and it was lots of fun. We had a mud pit slip an slide, a scavenger hunt ( of which there are pictures) and a where's waldo/ welcome weekend staff and amazing chapel. Its interesting living on campus because you have to learn to be independent and not see your family till the weekends. its also a good learning experience because you have to learn to live with other people and get used to their living habits. But I am loving my classes and being in a Christian environment is fun. Most of my profs pray before they start class and my speech teacher even ask for prayer requests. Chapel is also amazing because you can feel God move in the worship songs and from each speaker I learn alot. ok here are the pictures from the scavenger hunt ok so thats whats happening at Crown!!

In the last post I talked about how we were going to go to duluth over the weekend and thats what I did. We had a blast. Our hotel was right on lake superior even better our room had a view so we could walk out on the porch whenever we want to and look at the beautiful lake. We biked around the lake saturday afternoon and then sunday morning met my cousins April and Seth for lunch at the resturant called Grandma's becausse they were on their way home from Grand Marias. Then sunday afternoon went to Gosseberry falls and that was fun but quick bc we only had an hr to spend there. Then on the way home they were doing construction and this long road was down to one lane and we sat in it for an hr but other that I had a great time. Enjoy the pics

7 days!!! 7 Days!!! 7 days till I go to college of course :) So excited. I love new experiences. And I am kinda getting to the point where I am also ready to move out. So this past weekend was a hard weekend on my family because of what happened on Friday Night. Friday Night-I babysat for a family down the street from me. They have two girls 4 and 1. It was so much fun, so I get home around 11:45 p.m. and as soon as i pull in the driveway my mom comes outside to greet me and as I am about to go inside she pulls me aside and tells me Shiloh* has died. He isn't kennal trained so at night he stays in the kitchen. Anyways my mom went over around 10 to chekc on him and let him one last time before she went to bed. When she gets over there, the cord of the blinds had gotten wrapped around neck and killed him. To spare you the details my dad had to release him and bring him to this emergency vet hospital where they can keep him in a freezer until the family gets back. Born From a boombox. Thats what BFAB stands for. Its a word that describes someone who is born to dance. So Megan and I decided to go see step up 3 today. And it was really cool in 3D. the dance moves were awesome and it must took alot of practice to get the choregraphy down. They used the word bFAB alot in the movie to describe how they were born to dance. I thought that was a cool word. So if you like dance movies or have seen the other step ups i would say go see it. The only thing I didnt like about the movie was they didn't keep the up with same story line from the last two. i give it a 3 out 5 stars. Alyssa

Hi Guys!! So I thought I would try a new theme for Wednesday. Wacky Wednesday, where I post a picture of me doing something wacky. And so this picture was done at a mall when our youth group had this girl scavenger hunt. We got done early so we went to buy jawbreakers, i think that was what they were but anyways then after we decided to take a picture of our tongues. Our VERY BLUE tongues. So thats Becka, Missy, and Me. So today I got to meet my roommate at a Target where we went Dorm shopping and after a slight confusion at which target we were suppossed to meet at, I found her and we had a blast. It also worked out great because I got target gift cards from my grad party to use. We ended up getting pretty much everything and it only took us an hour. Hi Guys, so I hope you enjoyed my first vlog. Happy Friday!! I am so excited its the weekend. This weekend should be a lot of fun because my cousins Kaylee and Levi are coming to visit for the weekend. They are from Bismarck, North Dakota and the last time I saw them was last Christmas but we were only in ND for a a few days. The picture above was taken last summer I think, when my dad's family got together for a family reunion. Kaylee is on end on the right side and levi is on the end but on the left side. Tonight we are having a bon fire. Saturday- SHOPPING TIME!! What better way to show them MN than take them to Mall of America and get some back to school shopping in. So the best part of the weekend happened on Sunday, because Ria had 4 extra tickets to the lynx game so my sisters and one of my Bffs Kassie and I got to go and watch the game in a suite provided by Medtronic ( Ria's work) with Ria's family. Her cousins from seattle were in town and it just so happened the Lynx were playing the Seattle Storm .. what a coincidence :) It was such an awesome night because it was faith and family night where our local Christian radio station had the band Everday Sunday put on a FREE concert afterwards.
