life lately

Wow it has been a week since I have posted anything, so sorry about that.




I started my two nanny jobs this week and it has been a whirlwind of busyness. Just so you can keep track of my schedule, I nanny a 5 year old and seven year old in Corcoran on Mondays and Wednesdays, and then on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays I nanny Olivia who is six.




On Wednesdays, I  help out with Next Gen and usually Tuesdays and Thursdays I am tutoring a second grader in reading. As you can tell I have a busy schedule.

So tonight I am sitting out on our porch and updating you guys and talking to my roommate  Kassandra.
 I took Olivia to Elm Creek Park today and she just reminds me how dependent children are on their caretaker.



 Lately I have been living an independent life and not relying on God lately. I  search for a job myself, I look for ways to make money. This is me being in control when Jesus wants me to let go and rely on Him.  Just seeing how she would check that I was watching her was a reminder of how I need to let God lead my life. Even though I might be taking steps of faith I need to be looking to God for his wisdom and protection.

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. Planet Wisdom

So this past weekend I went to Planet Wisdom with my youth group. Its a conference led by Mark Matlock and Dawson Mcallister. The topic was the last 14 hours of Jesus's life.It was a really good topic to talk about. The big thing that stuck out to me was Jesus was human just like us and he didn't want to die, yet he loved us so much that he did. Mark 14: 36 -36"Abba,Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." This passage shows that he didn't want to but he knew we wouldn't be forgiven by God if he didn't so he died on the cross for us. Another important point was that Jesus dies of suffocation. Fluid filled up in his lungs and no air could get out and thats how he suffocated. Something I think we all have to ask ourselves is Jesus made his choice by dying for us and now we have to make ours.. Is Jesus worth living for? I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board.
