Chicago. Thrifting, and Family Time

I am so happy its Friday. Just 1 more Friday until School is over. I thought this weekend would be really busy because its Memorial Day weekend but it isn't. I am glad about that though because more time to spend with the family!!



Tonight: I am going to a graduation bonfire. Its a celebration for my friend Christie. Her grad party is next Saturday but there's this HUGE event at my church that day called Revolution. And many people will be going to that so I think that why she is having the bonfire tonight.

Saturday: Some of us that are going on the Chicago mission trip and are in charge of doing stories for the Vacation Bible School that we are putting on while we are there are getting together to practice our skits. I have the story of the 7 Plagues. Then Later saturday night I am babysitting again but for a different family.

Sunday: I am super excited because my whole family is going to church. We haven't gone in a looong time due to basketball in the Winter and Fall. Sunday will also be a family day. We might go see a movie but I hope we do something else. See below

Monday: Memorial Day, I am going to my Grandma's for a barbecue. My cousins and aunts and uncles are going to and we will hopefully play whiffle ball or kickball.

But I hope this Sunday my dad will SET UP OUR POOL!! . ( I had a picture of it but it wouldn't let me upload it)

So i'll be back Tuesday to let you know if we got it set up.

Have a good memorial day weekend. Remember the reason why we celebrate it.. for the troops that are fighting overseas for us.

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. I am still trying to figure out if I am going to continue going to crown next year. I won't bore you with the details but I am possibly considering other schools so we will see. Planet Wisdom

So this past weekend I went to Planet Wisdom with my youth group. Its a conference led by Mark Matlock and Dawson Mcallister. The topic was the last 14 hours of Jesus's life.It was a really good topic to talk about. The big thing that stuck out to me was Jesus was human just like us and he didn't want to die, yet he loved us so much that he did. Mark 14: 36 -36"Abba,Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." This passage shows that he didn't want to but he knew we wouldn't be forgiven by God if he didn't so he died on the cross for us. Another important point was that Jesus dies of suffocation. Fluid filled up in his lungs and no air could get out and thats how he suffocated. Something I think we all have to ask ourselves is Jesus made his choice by dying for us and now we have to make ours.. Is Jesus worth living for? I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board. So in the beginning of the year there were all these job openings, and i applied to many of them such as working in the student billing office, finacial aid office,newspaper etc But I didn't get any interviews and they became filled.
