We are never without hope

I have been thinking a lot about worry and lack of control. It always seem to happen after a job interview or an interaction with someone that I think I said something wrong. I stew about the mistake for so long that I drown out His voice. You know the Holy Spirit's whisper. 

 This happened to me yesterday when I was driving home and I felt like I could have done better or said more. That's when I realized that what the Enemy wanted me to think and obsess over because then I am taking control of my life. I heard " Be still, not your control, my control" whisper over my heart. I started mediating on Psalm 46:10 " Be still and know that I am God, I will exalted among the nations and I will be exalted among the world." I started praying " Father help me be still." It was so great to see how God eased my worries through this experience. 

Then later last night I was talking to my friend Kassie about how we don't have control over our lives once we surrender them to Jesus. This can be a terrifying thought or a freeing thought . If you think about it, God didn't want his children to worry about anything so I am choosing to think about the freedom that lies in yielding to God, believing, and claiming that God is in control and my job is to trust and be still. I will give my best and believe that God will work through that.

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. Planet Wisdom

So this past weekend I went to Planet Wisdom with my youth group. Its a conference led by Mark Matlock and Dawson Mcallister. The topic was the last 14 hours of Jesus's life.It was a really good topic to talk about. The big thing that stuck out to me was Jesus was human just like us and he didn't want to die, yet he loved us so much that he did. Mark 14: 36 -36"Abba,Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." This passage shows that he didn't want to but he knew we wouldn't be forgiven by God if he didn't so he died on the cross for us. Another important point was that Jesus dies of suffocation. Fluid filled up in his lungs and no air could get out and thats how he suffocated. Something I think we all have to ask ourselves is Jesus made his choice by dying for us and now we have to make ours.. Is Jesus worth living for? I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board. So in the beginning of the year there were all these job openings, and i applied to many of them such as working in the student billing office, finacial aid office,newspaper etc But I didn't get any interviews and they became filled.
