Exciting weekend!!

I love when I have an exciting weekend plan. It makes me appreciate the weekend even more.
So yesterday- we had a surprise party for my dad because he turned 5-0!! My mom invited a couple of his friends over and then my mom told him to go to Kohls with her because he a gift card, then I stayed home to get the house ready and my mom called to say when they were on their way home, when she did we waited for them to come in and yelled " SUPRISE", he was shocked which was really cool because I have never seen him like that before. Over all it was a nice party and I think my dad enjoyed it.

Then today- my family had a bridal shower at my house for my cousin Brock's fiance, Tori.

Then Tomorrow I am really excited because Ria thurston from Life as a Wife got tickets to the lynx game and had extras. She invited me and my sisters because she knows my sisters play basketball and I love to watch basketball. And my friend Kassie gets to come too, and Ria has a suite we get to watch the game from. So can't wait!!

I know it has been a long time since I have written but like i have been saying in my last few posts, college has kept me busy and since I don't have homework tonight, I can come back and blog a little. I will just kinda update you whats going on in my life. Well lets see the semester is coming to an end wohoo!!! just one more week left and then next semester I won't have any more 8 o clock classes which will be SUPER nice. Planet Wisdom

So this past weekend I went to Planet Wisdom with my youth group. Its a conference led by Mark Matlock and Dawson Mcallister. The topic was the last 14 hours of Jesus's life.It was a really good topic to talk about. The big thing that stuck out to me was Jesus was human just like us and he didn't want to die, yet he loved us so much that he did. Mark 14: 36 -36"Abba,Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." This passage shows that he didn't want to but he knew we wouldn't be forgiven by God if he didn't so he died on the cross for us. Another important point was that Jesus dies of suffocation. Fluid filled up in his lungs and no air could get out and thats how he suffocated. Something I think we all have to ask ourselves is Jesus made his choice by dying for us and now we have to make ours.. Is Jesus worth living for? I know I have been in and out in blog world but I have been really busy here at college and I am loving it. But I also have been learning alot and growing in my relationship with God. But its hasn't always been happy joyful times in my walk with God. God has put this story on my heart to share with you guys. So i am going to and sorry there won't be many pictures. Ok so as you know college is EXPENSIVE, especially a private Christian college. Anyways, I did recieve some scholarships and feel very blessed that I did but the plan was I would get an on campus job to cover the other expenses that the scholarships didn't, like room and board. So in the beginning of the year there were all these job openings, and i applied to many of them such as working in the student billing office, finacial aid office,newspaper etc But I didn't get any interviews and they became filled.
